MISSION STATEMENT

Five Rings Preschool has a unique program directed at children who are three, four and five. We are dedicated towards the preparation of children headed for kindergarten, in a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment focused on the whole child.

The arts are an intrinsic part of all the children’s experiences at the school. The curriculum, whether it involves writing, speech, letter recognition, numbers or a foreign language, is always physically and mentally experienced through story telling, singing and movement, sculpture, painting or some other art form. Thus, the learning process is through the whole child: the body, the heart and the mind, all working together.

Children learn how to learn by discovering answers through hands-on activities that stimulate their curiosity and creativity. The arts encourage activities that foster a positive self-image in each child and facilitate their intellectual, social, emotional and physical development.

Socialization and interaction with other children through the arts create cooperative learning activities encouraging social awareness and social problem solving.

Teacher flexibility within the curriculum enables us to adapt activities according to the needs of the individual child.
